ONE-DAY CPD CONFERENCE 

NUT CPD Programme in Partnership with the Highest Common Denominator (HCD) Trust and Leadership for Learning, School of Education, University of Cambridge.

10.00 a.m. – 4.00 p.m.

NUT Headquarters, Hamilton House, Mabledon Place, London WC1H 9BD

Audience: School leaders, teachers and colleagues from all Key Stages; plus governors and all interested in student leadership, pupil ‘voice’, pupil/student consultation or participation, and ‘Pupils as Researchers’.  Attendance with a ‘learning partner’ encouraged.

Speakers will include: 

Prof. John MacBeath & Dr. David Frost (University of Cambridge)

Susan Piers-Mantell (Learning to Lead Programme)

+ Choice of interactive ‘case-study’ workshop sessions led by children and young people illustrating Learning to Lead, circle-time, Junior Leadership Team (shadowing SMT) and UNICEF’s Rights Respecting Schools approach

+ Presentation to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC)
