Student Participation: taking stock and moving forward

Gregor Sutherland (2006)

Abstract
This paper describes the rationale behind the inception of a new development at the University of Cambridge – the establishment of the Student Participation Initiative. The paper briefly examines relevant traditions such as pupil voice, pupil consultation, and students/pupils as researchers. The second part of the paper presents a case study from the students as researchers tradition. In conclusion, this paper suggests an agenda for further research.
