Children’s University This three year evaluation project funded by the Department for Children Schools and Families and the Sutton Trust has now been completed. Read more.
Research by children and young people This project is a partnership between the LfL team and the London based educational trust 'Highest Common Denominator'. Its purpose is to stimulate student 'voice', participation, research and leadership. It works on a range of initiatives with primary and secondary school students and teachers as well as other partners in this country and internationally. Read more.
Learning to Lead The LfL team carried out an evaluation of Learning to Lead, an initiative which enables students to lead projects that make a difference to their schools and wider communities. Read more.
Leadership for Learning in Ghana LfL is now in the second year of an exciting and ambitious programme to develop the capacity of headteachers throughout Ghana. Read more.
Education International Education International (EI) is the global association of teacher organisations and unions which has 460 odd affiliates. LfL is currently undertaking research for EI aimed at collecting evidence that will underpin a policy framework to guide the future development of the teaching profession. Read more.
International Teacher Leadership Project (ITL) The project was initiated by David Frost at the University of Cambridge Faculty of Education in 2008 in response to interest shown by researchers and practitioners in countries such as Croatia, Greece, Portugal, Romania, Spain and Turkey in the work on teacher leadership within LfL and the HertsCam programme. Teacher Leadership This is an ongoing dimension of LfL which features the journal 'Teacher Leadership'. The journal aims to enable teachers to contribute to what is known about teaching and learning and about strategies to develop and improve this. The mission of the journal is to publish accounts of 'teacher-led development work'. Read more.
Norfolk: Learning Catalysts and Family Work Stories This multi-dimensional project supports members of school communities to act as catalysts for learning and the raising of aspirations in disadvantaged areas. The project builds capacity by developing local people to become leaders of their own and others' learning. Read more.
Advancing Participation and Representation of Ethnic Minority Groups in Education (APREME) This is a project that operates in the Western Balkans with funding from both the European Union and the Open Society Institute as part of their Education Support Programme in South East Europe. The project is linked to a much wider project covering eastern European countries. Both projects are focused on involving parents in schooling but the APREME is particularly focused on the inclusion of ethnic minority families. Read more.
The Influence and Participation of Children and Young People in their Learning This research investigated a range of areas around influencing and improving learning, assessment, behaviour for learning, curriculum and pupil voice. Read more.
Carpe Vitam LfL Stevenage Extension The Stevenage 14-19 Pathfinder cluster of schools are engaged with LfL on a leadership for learning research and development process. This is a direct extension of the international Carpe Vitam leadership for learning project.
CamNUT Learning Circles This project with the National Union of Teachers provides a means for teachers to pursue professional learning. A pilot phase with four 'Learning Circles' involved teachers coming together to study themes of their choosing whilst undertaking a Certificate of Further Professional Studies. Read more.
Leadership in extended schools This is a collaborative project with Canterbury Christ Church University and is funded by the National College of School Leadership. It is concerned with identifying leadership issues in extended schools. |
